If you want to get traffic to your wordpress website, there are a couple things you will need to pay attention to. In this post, I will show you sure-fire ways to make sure your website is properly optimized so Google will start sending you free traffic.

The most important thing to know is what keywords people are typing in to find your website.  Once you understand that, you can position yourself to get all the traffic from that specific keyword.

For example, let’s say you have a pet shop in Dallas.  You would want to make sure your website focused heavily on the keywords of “pet shop” and “Dallas”.  May sound like common sense but many people drop the ball with this.  They just type whatever they want and don’t focus on the main keywords people are typing in.

So once you have these keywords figured out, you need to sprinkle them throughout your site.  Title, Meta tags, each paragraph.  Some can be bold, some can be italicized, some can be larger font.  Whatever you have to do to make that keyword stand out, that is how you will properly place the keywords on your site.

Once the keywords are on your site, the rest truly is a breeze.  The next two parts is really just one big, ever lasting strategy that will continue to keep you ranking high in the search engines.  And that strategy is to get back links to your site.   At this stage of the game, you will find all different opinions come into play from the expert marketers.  I will share what I do and of course I recommend you continue studying all the SEO strategies. I have been studying SEO for 10+ years and I still don’t know everything there is.
